Curtis Grimes: “Pretty Paper” – Exclusive Premiere

Curtis Grimes, Texas “Entertainer and Vocalist of the Year” with 13 #1 hit singles, is one of our favorite Texas artists and we were excited to hear about his participation in a collaborative Christmas EP, as well as an acoustic Christmas tour! Additionally, we’re thrilled to premiere “Pretty Paper” off of the EP today! Grimes also gave us the scoop on the tour and working with Doug Stone.

“A Honky Tonk Christmas” will be both the moniker for both the EP and tour, and he’ll be joined by William Michael Morgan (#1 hit mainstream single “I Met A Girl”), Brian Callihan (Reviver Records Recording Artist), and David Adam Byrnes (2021 Texas Country Music Awards “Male Vocalist of the Year Nominee” with 5 consecutive #1 hit singles in Texas). Holly Tucker (semi-finalist from NBC’s The Voice) will join the guys on select Texas dates.

“Pretty Paper”

What can fans expect on the “Honky Tonk Christmas” tour?

CG: This is the first time we have done a “Christmas” tour like this and I can’t guarantee we will be doing many jingles but I can guarantee we will be singing actual Country music. I think it will be very informal and each show will be unique in a way that should result in good times and fun for all.

How does it feel to be on the road with such a talented group of people?

CG: These guys are great and it’s always nice to be surrounded by others who understand and appreciate the essence of genuine country music.

What was it like partnering with Doug Stone on “Pretty Paper”?

CG: I have been a huge fan of Doug for a long time so it was pretty surreal to record a song with someone I consider to be a country music legend. I had just as much fun getting the opportunity to chat and hang with him at the studio the day we cut vocals.

What’s your favorite Christmas tradition?

CG: My favorite Christmas tradition is gathering with my extended family on Christmas Eve for fireworks, food and sharing gifts.
