About Sun Valley Station
In 2018, when bass player Lucas Copeland reached out to songwriter/musician Jeff Hobbs after a twelve-year hiatus, little did they know that it would mark the birth of a remarkable musical endeavor. Coming together as a dynamic duo, they formed the electrifying band, Sun Valley Station. Initially crossing paths in Ft. Worth, Texas during the early 2000s, their musical connection was immediate, despite their strikingly different personalities.
After parting ways in 2006 and pursuing individual paths, Copeland immersed himself in other musical ventures, touring extensively across the United States, while Hobbs, a gifted wordsmith, built a successful business in Oklahoma. Yet, Hobbs’s musical DNA could not be suppressed, as he continued to accumulate a wealth of soul-stirring songs inspired by his life experiences.
When Copeland unexpectedly reached out, Hobbs found himself knee-deep in an abundance of unreleased material, amounting to multiple complete full-length albums. Recognizing Hobbs’s unparalleled songwriting prowess and distinctive vocal style, Copeland’s decision to form Sun Valley Station was fueled by his belief that no one else could create music quite like Jeff.
As a brand-new musical entity, Sun Valley Station embarked on a thrilling journey, fueled by their shared history and a fresh creative vision. With their musical luggage brimming with an extensive catalog of songs, Sun Valley Station made a resounding entrance with their debut double album release.
DANO: A Majestic 22-Song Journey of Creative Evolution
