Drew Baldridge’s New Campaign: Hope for Tough Times
Rising country music star Drew Baldridge has unveiled “The Tough People Fund,” a heartfelt GoFundMe initiative designed to support individuals, families, and communities enduring difficult challenges. The campaign kicked off with a mission to help Baker, a young fan courageously battling an aggressive form of cancer.
Baldridge was deeply moved when he learned that Baker found strength in his hit song “Tough People” during her chemotherapy treatments. Inspired by her resilience, he took action to rally support for Baker and raise awareness of her ongoing fight.
A Warrior Named Baker
Baker, just four years old, is confronting an exceptionally rare form of cancer known as ETP T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. This aggressive disease affects only a small percentage of pediatric leukemia patients, making her journey particularly challenging.
Currently undergoing intense Phase 2 chemotherapy, Baker and her family face not only emotional struggles but also significant financial burdens. Baker’s mother has had to leave her job to provide full-time care, adding additional stress to their situation.
Baldridge hopes that through “The Tough People Fund,” financial relief and an outpouring of community support will empower Baker’s family to focus on what truly matters — her recovery.

In a heartfelt note accompanying the campaign, Baldridge shared his motivation:
“Baker is not a statistic. She is a fighter. A warrior with an unstoppable spirit. This campaign isn’t just about raising money; it’s about surrounding her with prayer, love, and resources so she has every chance to succeed.”
To lead by example, Baldridge personally donated $1,000 to the campaign, launching it on World Cancer Day to bring attention to Baker’s journey and the cause.
The Song That Sparked the Fund
Released in October 2024, “Tough People” was co-written by Baldridge alongside country music heavyweights Luke Combs, Adam Sanders, and Jordan Walker. With lyrics that tell stories of resilience, the song has resonated deeply with fans and is climbing toward the Top 15 on country radio charts.
