Kentucky-born and Nashville-based singer-songwriter Adam Chaffins has officially announced the release of his upcoming EP, Trailer Trash, set for May 16. The project, produced by Frank Rogers—a producer behind 28 number-one hits—reflects Chaffins’ deeply personal storytelling and connection to his Appalachian heritage.
To mark the announcement, Chaffins released the title track along with an official music video starring his wife and collaborator, Brit Taylor, one of our previous Artists to Watch. The track is a tribute to his upbringing in an East Kentucky doublewide trailer and captures the heart of classic country with gushing pedal steel, tight rhythms, and symphonic swells.

Chaffins Speaks on Breaking Stereotypes
“Whether a person grew up in a double-wide, a shack, or a project, they don’t deserve to be defined by some preconceived notion of who they are,” Chaffins shared. “If you got a heart of gold, consider this song as encouragement for you to let it beat for the whole world to see.”
A Rich Storytelling Journey
The five-track EP, co-produced by Rogers alongside Derek Wells, Mike Fiorentino, and Chaffins, explores American life from an Appalachian perspective. The songs draw heavily from Chaffins’ personal life and experiences, offering relatable stories with universal themes.
Notable Nashville songwriters such as Adam Wright, Bryan Simpson, and Bobby Hamrick contributed to the project. The title track joins Chaffins’ previous release, “Little Bit at a Time,” a swampy tune that earned praise for blending Chris Stapleton-like country vibes with cosmic elements championed by Daniel Donato.
Critical Success and Collaborations
Chaffins’ holiday single “Layaway Momma” gained critical acclaim and airplay on SiriusXM’s Outlaw Country, while “Little Bit at a Time” was celebrated by various media outlets.
A respected figure in the Nashville music scene, Chaffins initially debuted as a solo artist with his 2020 album Some Things Won’t Last, which garnered praise from Billboard and American Songwriter. Since then, he has collaborated on hits like “Gone As It Gets” with Brit Taylor, Meg McRee, and Ben Chapman, earning nearly 2.9 million streams on Spotify.
