John Michael Montgomery Announces Farewell Show in Lexington, KY

Country music legend John Michael Montgomery is bringing his farewell tour, The Road Home Tour, to a close in the most meaningful way, by returning to Kentucky for one final performance. On December 12, Montgomery will take the stage at Rupp Arena in Lexington for what promises to be a milestone moment in his storied career.

A Family Celebration for the Final Show

Presented by OUTBACK PRESENTS, the farewell concert will be more than just a musical event/ It will be a family reunion on stage. Joining Montgomery for this special night will be his brother Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry, his son Walker Montgomery, and his son-in-law Travis Denning. With this multigenerational lineup, the performance is expected to be one of the biggest highlights of the year.

“I stepped on a tour bus for the first time in 1992 and haven’t looked back since, but now it’s time to bring it all back home for my last concert and I can’t think of a better place than Rupp Arena.  I wanted to celebrate this occasion with my family, so I invited some of them to perform with me.  We are going to have a lot of fun and end this ride in a big way,” says Montgomery.

A Career Defined by Hits and Heart

With a catalog that defined a generation of country music, Montgomery rose to fame in the 1990s with timeless hits like “Life’s A Dance,” “I Swear,” “I Love The Way You Love Me,” “Sold,” “Be My Baby Tonight,” and more. Over the span of his career, he released 11 studio albums, earned millions in album sales, and received a collection of Multi-Platinum and Gold certifications from the RIAA. He charted 36 singles, including seven No. 1 hits, and earned accolades from the CMA, ACM, Billboard, and even a Grammy nomination.
