Rising country vocalist Ashley Ryan is kicking off the festive season with “Mistletoe Missin’ You,” a tender, bittersweet Christmas release now available on all streaming platforms. The song mixes warm, classic country tones with nostalgic holiday imagery, showcasing Ryan’s ability to merge emotional storytelling with her powerful vocal style. Though the message centers on longing, the track carries a surprisingly bright, uplifting feel.
Co-written by Ryan alongside Larry McCoy, Frank Stopak, and Quinn Loggins, and produced by McCoy, “Mistletoe Missin’ You” features shimmering production, soft acoustic layers, and a melody that feels instantly familiar. The song captures the heartache of spending the holidays away from the one who makes the season truly complete, all while maintaining the cozy charm of a timeless Christmas tune.
“‘Mistletoe Missin’ You’ is really just about that cozy Christmas feeling where everything’s perfect – the lights, the cookies, the fire, but it still doesn’t feel complete until your person is there,” said Ryan. “It’s flirty, warm, a little bit playful, and honestly just captures that mix of nostalgia and longing that hits around the holidays. It’s the soundtrack to waiting by the tree wishing they’d hurry up and get home already.”
A Strong Finish to a Breakout Year
“Mistletoe Missin’ You” caps off an impressive year of releases for Ryan. In October, she dropped the romantic and lighthearted “More of You.” September brought the fiery anthem “Fire In The Sky,” steeped in themes of betrayal and retribution. Her July single “Roll Baby” added another confident, energetic track to her catalog.
Earlier in the year, Ryan unveiled “Wrong Post,” a sharp-tongued warning to an ex about his new relationship. The song’s official video, which premiered exclusively with CMT, follows Ryan as a waitress in a chaotic dive bar, secretly crushing on her manager as drama unfolds around her.
Ryan first captured widespread attention in 2023 with her debut Spinville Entertainment release “Hush Little Baby,” which went viral and earned millions of views across TikTok and Facebook, along with over 18 million Spotify streams. She continued her momentum with “Too Far Gone,” a “full-fledged barn-burner” praised by Billboard and influenced by the bold, gritty female country voices she grew up admiring.
“I grew up singing ‘Before He Cheats’ and ‘Gunpowder and Lead,’” Ryan has shared. “I really love fiddle in a song. I love that old traditional country, the grungy female country with the sassy drop D guitar and rolling banjo. So that’s what you’ll get from me.”

About Ashley Ryan
Ashley Ryan, a Corona, California native and Spinville Entertainment artist, has quickly become a standout in Nashville’s country landscape. Described by Billboard as having an “abundance of firepower,” she began writing songs at 16 after her grandfather gifted her a guitar. When she couldn’t find anyone to sing her lyrics, she stepped behind the microphone herself and discovered her natural vocal strength.
After a brief attempt at college in California, she moved to Nashville to continue her education at Belmont University and pursue her music career. Her talent caught the attention of four-time GRAMMY winner Keith Urban at a private event, where a conversation led to an impromptu duet of “Without You.” Urban later invited her to join him again onstage at his sold-out show at Bridgestone Arena.
Today, Ryan is known for blending classic country influences with a modern edge, delivering songs that span from heartbreak to honky-tonk energy. With multiple successful singles and growing acclaim, she continues to establish herself as one of country music’s most exciting new voices.
