We’re thrilled to premiere Bri Bagwell’s latest single “Trenches,” which is part of her album Corazón y Cabeza, available on August 26.

Imagine you’ve found your person to do life with and you can go through all of the highs and lows with them. That’s what “Trenches” is about.
The last couple of years have been a crazy time for everyone and Bagwell described feeling like she was on a rollercoaster. She talked to her boyfriend about it and said, “We’re in the trenches right now!” This interaction gave her the idea for the song.
While some of the lyrics describe the struggles of the couple in the song, it’s a love song about perseverance and going through hard times with the right person. She shared, “I got really lucky that I got to go through COVID with somebody that I really loved.”
Bagwell also described how it gave them the opportunity to spend more time together while shows were canceled. They went hiking and camping and just enjoyed each other’s company.
The pandemic also sparked a new interest for the couple. They’re in the process of building a tiny house in New Braunfels, TX to turn into an AirBnB in the near future.
