Chad Bushnell Releases “Ain’t Much Changed”

Chad Bushnell just released “Ain’t Much Changed,” the first single off of his upcoming album, due out in March 2023. I spoke with him about the single and how he chose it.

Written by Brian White (“Watching You” – Rodney Atkins, “Blame It On You” – Jason Aldean), the tune will definitely resonate with listeners. Bushnell explained, “‘Ain’t Much Changed’ hits home for a lot of people. Everyone has experienced loss at some point in their life. This song talks about how a guy who loses someone continues to move on even though he misses his loved one.”

About Chad Bushnell

The Northern California native started singing in church and then began performing the National Anthem. He worked his way up to talent shows and larger appearances. Bushnell wrote his first songs while in he was around fifteen years old, in high school, and decided that he wanted to begin his journey as a recording artist after he finished school.

Bushnell met songwriter Bryan White at a songwriters’ night and they sang their respective songs alongside one another. “It was a pretty neat experience,” he shared. After getting White’s contact information, the two had planned to write together, but the timing didn’t work out. Instead, White pitched some of his songs and “Ain’t Much Changed” was on the list. Bushnell stated that he wanted to record it immediately after listening to it. “It’s my kinda song,” he said.

He hopes to eventually write with Bryan White during one of his trips to Nashville and stated that White is one of his favorite songwriters. In addition to his album in March, which will be more mainstream country, Bushnell plans to begin working on a country/Christian album to be released next summer.
