The Charlie Daniels Journey Home Project Celebrates 10 Years with Patriot Awards Dinner

The Charlie Daniels Journey Home Project (TCDJHP) is marking a significant milestone: its 10-year anniversary. Founded by country music icon Charlie Daniels and his longtime manager, David Corlew, the organization has been dedicated to supporting military veterans and their families.

A Decade of Dedication

Despite the challenges faced by many charitable organizations, TCDJHP has thrived, thanks to the unwavering commitment of its founders and supporters. The organization has successfully raised over $4 million to benefit veterans’ causes through various fundraising initiatives, including the annual Patriot Awards Dinner.

The 2024 Patriot Awards Dinner

This year’s Patriot Awards Dinner will be held on September 11 at City Winery Nashville. The event promises to be a star-studded affair, featuring special guests, awards, and live entertainment.

Honorees for 2024 include:

  • Mark “OZ” Geist, a member of the Annex Security Team that fought the Battle of Benghazi
  • Bernie Kerik, former Commissioner of the New York Police Department
  • Tom Higgins, Head of General Services at Fiserv Incorporated
  • Storme Warren, television and radio broadcaster

The Giving Heart Award will be presented to Shepherd’s Men, a group dedicated to supporting the SHARE Military Initiative.
