Chris Young and Kane Brown Top Charts With Most-Added Song

Multi-Platinum artist Chris Young teamed up with “Breakthrough Artist of the Year” Kane Brown on the new single “Famous Friends”. The song was the most-added single at country radio as it tallied a total fifty-three combined Billboard and Country Aircheck/Mediabase stations.

Named “one of his era’s finest traditionalists” by the Associated Press, Young has accumulated an impressive list of accomplishments including eleven career No. 1 singles and two Grammy nominations. Throughout his impressive career, Young has given fans seven studio albums. So, of course his fans were happy when he gifted them another smash-hit.

Billboard cites Brown as “the future of country,” and there are many reasons to back this claim. Brown’s self-titled debut album went 2X Platinum. It then spent thirteen weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Charts. Brown is also one of only four artists with multiple 6X platinum country songs certified by the RIAA. Most recently, Brown performed on Thanksgiving Day during halftime of the Dallas Cowboys game on FOX.

Chris Young and Kane Brown new collaboration announcement tops charts this week

Undoubtedly, critics have been raving about the Chris Young and Kane Brown all-star collaboration. People Magazine says that: “With a solid friendship and history of great teamwork, it’s no surprise the country crooners joined forces once again for their all-new single.” The song illustrates an anthemic tribute to the names, faces, and legendary stories that make up each hometown across the U.S. At the present time, “Famous Friends” is Young and Brown’s first collaboration since Brown’s 2017 song “Setting the Night On Fire.

“Famous Friends” was written during Young’s Losing Sleep tour back in 2018, and was teased on social media a few times by Young and Brown last year. The pair talked about the song on Young’s podcast “The Quad with Chris Young”.
