Chris Young recently added to several new metals to his trophy collection. From the Recording Industry Association of America, or R.I.A.A., Young snagged a total of 8 certifications signifying over 7 million consumption units across several projects.
The new certifications come in platinum and gold for the highly accredited singer. Below are the specific singles and the album which were all awarded.
SINGLE: “Tomorrow” – 2x Platinum
ALBUM: I’m Comin’ Over – Platinum
SINGLE: “Lonely Eyes” – Platinum
SINGLE “Voices” – Platinum
SINGLE “Drowning” – Gold
SINGLE “Raised On Country” – Gold
SINGLE “Hangin’ On” – Gold
SINGLE “I Can Take It From There” – Gold
In total, Young has received 21 R.I.A.A. certifications. Upon earning the most recent array Young commented, “Today was absolutely a surprise with all of the plaques. Recording stuff for charity, celebrating the past, and talking about the future… I couldn’t ask for a better day.”
Young’s latest tunes include “Drowning,” which Rolling Stone’s added to their Best Country and Americana Songs of 2019 list and “Raised On Country,” which was released in 2019.
