CMT Music Awards 2024 – All You Need to Know

Excitement permeates the air as CMT unveils the nominations for the highly-anticipated 2024 “CMT MUSIC AWARDS.” Set to be hosted by the incomparable Kelsea Ballerini, this fan-voted celebration of country music will grace screens live from Austin, Texas’ Moody Center on Sunday, April 7, 2024, airing on CBS from 8:00 to 11:00 PM, ET/PT. Award Nominations

Leading the pack with three nominations each are Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, and Megan Moroney. Notably, Jelly Roll clinched three wins at last year’s event, while Cody Johnson held the same distinction in 2022 with two wins.

In a testament to the diverse landscape of country music, CMT has introduced 14 first-time nominees across various categories. From breakthrough artists to out-of-genre superstars, the list includes names like Amber Riley, Ashley Cooke, Bret Michaels, Chayce Beckham, Hozier, Koe Wetzel, Stephen Wilson Jr., Tyler Childers, Warren Zeiders, Zach Bryan, and four 2024 CMT Next Women of Country members: Anne Wilson, Ella Langley, The Castellows, and Tigirlily Gold (2x), all receiving their inaugural nods.

The most-coveted category of the night, “Video of the Year,” boasts 16 contenders spanning a spectrum of talent. Fresh faces like Jelly Roll, Jordan Davis, and Parmalee make their first-time appearances alongside established names. Kane Brown, eyeing back-to-back titles, partners with Mickey Guyton in a bid for this year’s crown.

Fan engagement takes center stage as voting kicks off today across nine categories. Fans can cast their votes at vote.cmt.com until April 1st, with “Video of the Year” voting extending into the live show.
