Christmas is a time of joy, reflection, and connection. From celebrating the birth of Jesus to creating cherished memories with loved ones, the holiday season brings warmth and togetherness.
Country artists hold special Christmas traditions close to their hearts, blending family, faith, and festivity. We’ve compiled some of their stories to spread holiday cheer. Watch the video for more insights and enjoy their favorite Christmas songs in our playlist below!
Heartwarming Holiday Traditions
Nate Barnes celebrates Christmas with a mix of family traditions, tasty treats, and unique gatherings:
“My favorite Christmas tradition is ‘Christmas Out in the Country,’ we call it. On Christmas Eve, we have a big dinner, loads of presents, and even socks, gloves, and scratch-off tickets for everyone—who doesn’t love that? We watch a video of family memories from the past year, which is always so special. And I can’t forget my mom’s famous cookie platter and my Aunt Lisa’s bean dip—truly the best! Later, I head to my buddy Dennis’s party, then to the horse barn, where I watch the Bill Murray movie ‘Scrooged’ and give my dog Nash a big Christmas dinner.”
John Michael Ferrari shares how Christmas inspires gratitude and giving:
“Christmas for me is a time for giving and sharing. It reminds me how very blessed I am. Sharing our ranch with neighbors, friends, and kids with nowhere to go is a pleasure and an honor. I love the beautiful holiday decorations, listening to Christmas music, and watching Christmas movies. And, I enjoy the new Christmas songs created by younger generations. For example, Pearl Seeback’s, ‘I Want You For Christmas,’ is absolutely delightful.”
