Cross Canadian Ragweed and Turnpike Troubadours Announce Massive Stadium Show at Baylor University

Cross Canadian Ragweed is keeping the momentum rolling after their electrifying 2024 reunion by announcing another stadium show with Turnpike Troubadours—this time at McLane Stadium at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, on Saturday, August 23, 2025.

Following their record-breaking four-night run in Stillwater, Oklahoma, which sold out 180,000 pre-sale tickets within days, the demand for more shows has been undeniable. Now, the Boys from Oklahoma are heading south, bringing American Aquarium, Wade Bowen, and Shane Smith & The Saints along for what promises to be another legendary night of Red Dirt country music.

How to Get Tickets

Fans eager to secure their spot can register for pre-sale access starting at 10 a.m. CT on February 11 at www.theboysfromoklahoma.com.

  • Pre-sale tickets go live on February 18
  • Any remaining tickets will be available to the general public on February 21

Given the overwhelming demand for the Stillwater shows, tickets are expected to sell out fast—so fans are encouraged to act quickly.

A Historic Night for Baylor University

This event marks a major milestone for Baylor University, with school officials thrilled to host such an iconic lineup at McLane Stadium.

“We can’t wait to welcome The Boys from Oklahoma down I-35 and into the heart of Texas for what promises to be an incredible show at McLane Stadium,” said Jason Cook, Baylor’s vice president of marketing and communications and chief marketing officer. “We appreciate Doussan Music Group selecting McLane Stadium to showcase these legendary bands—not only for the Baylor community and Waco, but for all of Texas. This event will be a perfect way to kick off the fall semester as we head into football season.”

Jovan Overshown, Baylor’s Deputy Athletics Director and Chief Revenue Officer, echoed the excitement:

“Saturday nights under the lights at McLane Stadium are always special, and we are thrilled to welcome fans from across Texas and beyond for an unforgettable experience with The Boys from Oklahoma and other special guests. We look forward to showcasing our state-of-the-art stadium and its stunning location on the banks of the Brazos this fall.”

Cody Canada on Bringing the Show to Texas

For Cody Canada, frontman of Cross Canadian Ragweed, bringing this event to Texas was a no-brainer.

“Texas has been a giant when it comes to support for our music, and Waco is in central Texas, so it’s right in the middle of our base,” said Canada. “My favorite part about this show is that we have a lot of friends there, and a lot of people we consider family. Wade Bowen is family, and he is from Waco, so he was the very first person I picked. We can’t wait to play for all the friends we’ve made here throughout the years. They welcomed us with open arms. We love it.”

While fans are eager to see if more dates will be added, Canada remains focused on taking things one step at a time:

“When it comes to a tour, we do not have a plan for that right now. It’s one town, one show at a time. With the success in Stillwater, Oklahoma, we’d have to be crazy not to bring this to Texas with our brothers in Turnpike Troubadours. The love we have received from regrouping is beyond belief for me. The wave has started in Stillwater, and we are gonna ride it to Texas and see where we go from there.”

Don’t Miss This Historic Night of Red Dirt Country

With Cross Canadian Ragweed, Turnpike Troubadours, and an all-star lineup coming to Waco, this show is shaping up to be another once-in-a-lifetime event. If the Stillwater shows were any indication, tickets will disappear fast—so don’t wait to register for pre-sale access and be part of history.
