The “Valentimers Challenge“
GRAMMY-nominated country music artist George Ducas launched the ‘Valentimers Challenge” this week. Ducas’s project helps isolated seniors who will be separated from their families on Valentines Day. The artist encourages fans to upload videos of encouragement and gratitude to their hometown senior care facility’s Facebook page. Correspondingly, Ducas hopes that friends and families display the “Valentimers Project” by sending strong, empathetic, multi-generational messages to their elders.
George Ducas’ Music
Ducas’s newest single “Old Timers”, inspired his “Valentimers Challenge”. The song, from his latest album “Yellow Rose Motel”, attributes to the people who forged the path we follow today. Furthermore, “Old Timers”, is climbing rapidly up the Texas Regional Radio Report in Ducas’ native-state Texas.
Above all, George Ducas has had a successful career as a songwriter as well. He wrote smash hits for country music artists like Garth Brooks, Sara Evans, Eli Young Band, and Randy Rogers.
Ducas and Others on “Old Timers”
The famed country music artist commented on “Old Timers” stating, “…it is a tune that I’m proud to have written. During a year when so many of us lost loved ones, family, and friends who are older, it was important to come up with a way to honor and remember their invaluable sacrifices and lifelong contributions.”
Midwest Record, offered “With the spirit of Bakersfield, Austin, and more, Ducas will be where organic country is headed, genre splicing country modes from the past into a seamless attack towards the future.” Similarly, American Songwriter agreed adding, “While George is always proud of his past, it’s the road ahead that he’s focused on which is lit up with a lot of great things.”
