Celebrating the 20th anniversary of her multi-week #1 single “Redneck Woman” and the multi-platinum album Here For The Party, Gretchen Wilson treated fans to two memorable performances at last week’s CMA Fest in Nashville. Tomorrow, she will release her new single, “Little Miss Runner Up,” through Redneck Records, distributed by The Orchard. This marks her first single since 2018. Wilson collaborated again with “Homewrecker” co-writers Rivers Rutherford and George Teren on this highly anticipated track.
“’Little Miss Runner Up’ follows the same girl we all know… and love to roll our eyes at! Can’t wait to see how this song looks in a country music video! LOL,” Gretchen shared enthusiastically.
During her CMA Fest set on Thursday night at Nissan Stadium, Gretchen was introduced by Ashley McBryde as “the baddest you-know-what in country music.” The introduction led into a powerful rendition of “Redneck Woman,” performed by both artists. The next day, Gretchen captivated a full house at the CMA Closeup Stage where Uncle Kracker interviewed her about her illustrious 20-year career. Friday night saw Gretchen opening the Nissan Stadium shows with a setlist that included fan favorites such as “Here For The Party,” “Homewrecker,” “Work Hard, Play Harder,” and, of course, “Redneck Woman.”
As she returns to the spotlight with “Little Miss Runner Up,” fans eagerly await the latest chapter in Gretchen Wilson’s storied career.
