GRAMMY-nominated entertainer and reigning ACM Artist of the Decade, Jason Aldean, has reached a major career milestone: his 30th #1 hit at Country Radio. The chart-topping single, “Whiskey Drink,” appears on his latest album, Highway Desperado (Broken Bow Records), and marks two decades of consistent success for the country superstar.
A New Milestone for a Country Icon
Joining a prestigious class of country music legends including George Strait, Reba McEntire, and Alan Jackson, Aldean celebrates this latest achievement with deep gratitude.
“30 #1s is a huge milestone, and I couldn’t let it go by without thanking the fans, country radio, the songwriters, BMG and the best promo team in the business,” said Aldean. “I appreciate all the support we have gotten from everyone over the last 20 years. And, I don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon; so, I’m working hard on getting this next round of music out and can’t wait to share it soon.”
Trailblazing Sound and Lasting Impact
Aldean’s sound, which blends hard-charging rock influences with country storytelling, has helped shape the modern landscape of country music. Jon Loba, President of Frontline Recordings at BMG Americas, credits Aldean’s fearless vision for his longevity.
“I always say icons come from the fringes and Jason Aldean exemplifies that without question,” said Loba. “When many questioned his music early on, he was uncompromising and in the process, added an entirely new sound to the genre that many tried to chase, but none could replicate. Today, he registers his 30th #1, while continuing to sell out arenas and amphitheaters. We at BMG look forward to him shaping the sound of Country music for years to come.”
Kicking Off the Full Throttle Tour
The Full Throttle Tour launched with sold-out shows at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, OH (May 23), Budweiser Stage in Toronto, Canada (May 24), and the Broadview Stage at SPAC in Saratoga Springs, NY (May 25). This week, Aldean brings his electric live show to CMA Fest in Nashville, where he’ll close out the opening night at Nissan Stadium on Thursday, June 5.
Following CMA Fest, the tour resumes in July, hitting major cities across the U.S. and Canada through the fall.
