A Tribute to the Good Kind of Crazy
“‘Tennessee Baby’ is a song celebrating the good side of ‘crazy’ in a relationship,” Myron shares. “It’s about working hard so your partner can enjoy themselves while trying to keep up with the madness of love. You can’t get the sweet without a little bit of a fight from your ‘sweet little lady.’”
Following Up a Genre-Bending Hit
This latest single comes on the heels of Myron’s October release, “Hoe Down” featuring Lucky Dog, an alternative country-rock anthem that combines the heart of country with the edge of alternative rock.
Listeners can anticipate more innovation from Myron, as he prepares to release a Nashville-inspired version of his breakout hit “Chills” this November. The original track, which has amassed over 90 million streams, will be reimagined with a country twist, showcasing Myron’s versatility and creative evolution.
A Musical Outlier with Timeless Appeal
Joey Myron’s influences span a wide spectrum, from country legends like Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings to genre-defying icons like Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra, The Weeknd, and Post Malone. His music captures a unique blend of past and present, offering listeners a sound that is both timeless and modern.
An accomplished classical pianist, Myron’s passion for music began at age 7. After earning a spot at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, he moved to Los Angeles, where he collaborated with top producers, including DJ Mickey Valen, on the hit track “Chills.” Despite his success on the West Coast, Myron felt drawn to Nashville’s rich musical history.
“I wanted to immerse myself in a thriving music scene rooted in the deep, rich history of country music I had always connected with,” he explains.
Innovating Nashville’s Soundscape
Teaming up with James Shelley and Michel Heyaca, creators behind the AI duo Lucky Dog, Myron brings a fresh perspective to country music. His Urban Cowboy sound offers a genre-defying experience that embraces line dancing, storytelling, and heartfelt melodies.
“Joey is an amazing musician — one of the best I’ve met in Nashville,” shared Shelley and Heyaca. “He knows what he wants and is able to execute that immediately on any instrument. It doesn’t hurt that he sounds like Johnny Cash and can sing his ass off.”
