Multi-platinum country artist Kip Moore has unveiled his most ambitious project yet with the announcement of his sixth studio album, Solitary Tracks. This expansive collection of 23 tracks, set to release on February 28, reflects Moore’s continued drive to explore new artistic horizons while staying true to his roots.
The album, described as a “resonant opus,” is divided into four sides that showcase Moore’s journey of self-discovery and personal growth. The project also highlights his steadfast commitment to authenticity in his music.
“I’m never going to cheat by just trying to write what I think people want to hear, or hold onto a sound that worked for me,” Moore shares. “I’m going to always be authentic with myself, with every record, and all I ever hope is that people find a little solace. This project is a journey in itself, so I hope it helps people navigate their own life.”
First Single and Video: “Bad Spot”
Ahead of the album’s release, Moore has shared the official video for the track “Bad Spot.” This dreamy, piano-driven song reveals a weathered soul coming to terms with maturity.

A Preview of Solitary Tracks
The new album follows a string of critically praised releases, including “Live Here to Work,” described by Billboard as “blistering,” and “Learning As I Go,” a gritty, rough anthem. Moore’s heartfelt “Flowers in December” and the slow-burning “Wildfire” provided fans with a glimpse of this bold new era.
Moore co-produced Solitary Tracks alongside Jaren Johnston, with additional contributions from Oscar Charles and Jay Joyce. The album is a deeply introspective journey, with the first half addressing his solitary nature and the second half embracing personal growth and new beginnings.
“There’s no pattern you have to follow, and sometimes you gotta gamble on yourself,” Moore says. “You gotta be bold enough to trust your gut, and willing to roll those dice if you believe in something.”
