Lainey Wilson Releases Highly Anticipated Album Whirlwind

Lainey Wilson Whirlwind

Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum artist Lainey Wilson has just released her much-awaited new album, Whirlwind, through BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville. The excitement doesn’t stop there, as the official music video for the album’s title track will premiere today on YouTube.

Produced by the Best in the Business

Whirlwind was produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Jay Joyce, known for his work with Miranda Lambert and Eric Church. The album features 14 tracks, each showcasing Wilson’s distinct and captivating songwriting style. The current single, “Hang Tight Honey,” is making waves on the Country Airplay chart and is close to breaking into the top 10.

Lainey Wilson on Whirlwind

Reflecting on her latest work, Wilson shared, “Whirlwind is kind of the Western sister of Bell Bottom Country. Since that album, I have gotten to experience so many new things and meet folks from different walks of life. Because of that, I’ve become a better songwriter, and I have more understanding. I feel like I’ve truly stepped into what it is that I’m called to be doing. Ironically, I found my path within all the craziness—and that’s the whirlwind.”

A Monumental Year for Lainey Wilson

Whirlwind is another milestone in an already stellar career for Wilson. Over the past year, she was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, won Best Country Album at the 2024 Grammy Awards, and swept the ACM and CMA Awards, securing the prestigious Entertainer of the Year title at both events. This week, Wilson added two more honors to her collection at the ACM Honors: the Triple Crown Award, recognizing her achievements as Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, and New Female Vocalist of the Year, and the Milestone Award, celebrating her outstanding contributions to country music.

On Tour: Country’s Cool Again
