Lori McKenna will be preforming an acoustic livestream concert on Friday, July 24 from Club Passim, a venue in her hometown of Cambridge, Massachusetts.
The highly anticipated event features songs from McKenna’s new album, The Balladeer which will be released the same day of the livestream event.
The venue, Club Passim is a non-profit organization which will receive all donations made during McKenna’s performance.
Matt Smith, Passim’s Managing Director shared recently, “In my 25 years at the club, so many of my favorite moments have been at Lori’s shows. She’s one of the most brilliant writers I’ve known and each time I get to run sound for her it is an honor.”
In reflection on her recent created album, McKenna commented, “I’m at the age now where you can see really well where you’re going, because you’re helping your parents and you’ve lived through what your kids are doing. It’s this weird emotional time where you’re like a bookkeeper, writing it all down, trying to make sense of it and add it all up somehow.”
The album will be released Friday, July 24 at 8 p.m. ET. The Balladeer is available for pre-order today here.
