Country music superstar Luke Combs continues his historic run at country radio as his single, “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma,” reaches #1 on both the Billboard Country Airplay and MediaBase/Country Aircheck charts. This marks Combs’ nineteenth consecutive single to top the MediaBase chart, further solidifying his dominance in the industry. The song is featured on the soundtrack for the new Twisters movie and has received critical acclaim, with Billboard noting Combs’ “ferocious vocals” that kick off the track with an undeniable energy.
A Year of Triumph
This year is proving to be monumental for Combs, who is nominated for three awards at the upcoming 58th Annual CMA Awards: Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Album of the Year for Fathers & Sons.
New Album Fathers & Sons
Released in June on Columbia Nashville, Fathers & Sons is a groundbreaking album featuring 12 tracks that delve into Combs’ personal experiences as a father. The album was recorded entirely live, showcasing his most intimate songwriting yet. Critics have praised the collection, highlighting its emotional depth and vulnerability. NPR Music remarked on Combs’ evolution into a global pop star, while other outlets described the album as a “masterclass” in songwriting.
Major Achievements
Combs is not only a member of the Grand Ole Opry but also a decorated artist with 11 CMA Awards, 4 ACM Awards, and 6 Billboard Music Awards. He recently made history as the first country artist to have three singles certified RIAA Diamond, with “Hurricane,” “When It Rains It Pours,” and “Beautiful Crazy” achieving this milestone.
Additionally, Combs collaborated with Post Malone on two tracks for Malone’s new album, F-1 Trillion, and is featured in a new exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame.
