Country superstar Luke Combs has unveiled his latest song, “Be By You,” giving fans another preview of his forthcoming studio album The Way I Am, arriving March 20 via Sony Music Nashville.
Of the track, Combs shares, “‘Be By You’ was sent to me through a friend. I didn’t personally know any of the guys who wrote it, but the vibe and the melody immediately struck me. It’s one of those rare outside cuts for me, and I honestly think the song turned out perfect. The fans have really made this one their own, and releasing it just before Valentine’s Day felt like the right moment.”
The song stands out in Combs’ catalog as one of the few he did not help write, yet he embraced it instantly. Its release arrives at a fitting time, just ahead of Valentine’s Day, and adds to the growing excitement surrounding his next full-length project.
The Way I Am Arrives March 20
Produced by Combs alongside Jonathan Singleton and Chip Matthews, The Way I Am features 22 tracks that spotlight his unmistakable voice and gift for storytelling. The album explores personal themes, including the push and pull between family life and career demands, moments of self-doubt and confidence, and the perspective that comes from focusing on what truly matters.
The project includes a collaboration with Alison Krauss and previously released songs such as “Sleepless in a Hotel Room,” “My Kinda Saturday Night,” “Days Like These,” “15 Minutes,” “Giving Her Away,” and “Back in the Saddle.”

The tour follows a milestone year for Combs. He became the first country artist to headline both Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, and he has now earned 20 consecutive No. 1 singles at country radio, most recently with “Back in the Saddle.” He also made history as the first country artist with four RIAA Diamond-certified singles and two songs surpassing one billion streams on Spotify.
An 11-time CMA Award winner and Grand Ole Opry member from Asheville, North Carolina, Combs continues to expand his global reach. His recent collaborations include projects with Post Malone, Bailey Zimmerman, Jon Bellion, and Alex Warren. He also delivered a widely praised duet of “Fast Car” with Tracy Chapman at the 66th Grammy Awards and joined Eric Church, Billy Strings, and James Taylor to headline the “Concert for Carolina,” which raised more than $24.5 million for Hurricane Helene relief.
With “Be By You” now available and The Way I Am on the horizon, Combs continues to build on a career defined by record-breaking achievements and a deep connection to his audience.
