Morgan Wallen has officially announced his highly anticipated fourth studio album, I’m The Problem, set for release on May 16, 2025. Wallen first shared the news directly with fans, revealing that the album will blend his signature country sound with rock and dirt-road influences. The release coincides with his inaugural, all-genre Sand In My Boots Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama, taking place May 16-18.

Wallen spent nearly a year writing and refining the album’s tracklist from his farm outside Nashville, working closely with longtime collaborators Joey Moi and Charlie Handsome. The album reflects a deeply introspective period for the country star, who openly acknowledges his past struggles.

“I have been a problem, for sure, and I’ve got no problem admitting that,” Wallen shared. “But there are other sides to me as well. I’ve spent the last 11 months really trying to figure out, ‘Do I still want to be the problem? Is it time to move past that phase in my life?’ I think it probably is, and this might be the last time I get a chance to honestly say it.”

To give fans an early taste of I’m The Problem, two new songs drop tonight: “Just In Case” and “I’m A Little Crazy.” “Just In Case” was co-written by Wallen alongside John Byron, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Ryan Vojtesak, Josh Thompson, Blake Pendergrass, and Alex Bak, with Joey Moi and Charlie Handsome co-producing. “I’m A Little Crazy,” written by Michael Hardy, Smith Ahnquist, Hunter Phelps, and Jameson Rodgers, was also produced by Moi.

The announcement follows Wallen’s record-breaking achievements, including becoming the first artist ever to have two albums spend over 100 weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart. With each project, he continues to refine his artistry, and I’m The Problem promises to be his most personal work yet.

Wallen will preview songs from the album during his return as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live on March 29.

The 20-show stadium tour will include stops in Seattle, Foxborough, Toronto, and more, with a second show recently added in Madison, Wisconsin—making him the first artist to play two consecutive nights at Camp Randall Stadium.

The tour will feature an all-star lineup of supporting acts, with rotating appearances from Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, and Koe Wetzel. Additional opening acts include Gavin Adcock, Corey Kent, Ella Langley, and Anne Wilson across select dates. Combined with his Sand In My Boots Festival, these 21 events mark Wallen’s only live performances for 2025.
