New Album ‘Country Therapy’ Highlights Wynn Williams’ Authentic Sound

Wynn Williams

Indie recording artist Wynn Williams has unveiled his new album Country Therapy, a title that perfectly reflects its purpose. The project leans into neo-traditional sounds, blending heartfelt storytelling with influences from ‘90s and early 2000s trailblazers like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, and Tim McGraw. Produced by Brandon Hood, the record highlights the artistry of Hall of Fame songwriters and future Hall of Famers, delivering a modern nod to the timeless roots of country music.

Backed by Songwriting Royalty

The 12-track album brings together an impressive roster of acclaimed writers. Contributions come from Carson Chamberlain (George Strait, Alan Jackson, Zach Top), Dean Dillon (George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Keith Whitley), Rhett Akins (Brooks & Dunn, Luke Bryan, Parker McCollum), Lydia Vaughn (Jason Aldean), Josh Dorr (Blake Shelton, Jordan Davis), Chris Stapleton (George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Josh Turner), and Jon Pardi, among many others.

“As a touring artist, it can be challenging to find the time to write,” Wynn said. “We leaned into songwriters as our priority for this project; the songs are written by songwriting royalty. We worked to honor their craftsmanship by keeping a traditional feel and added a modern sound to the production. While I may not have had a part in writing all of the songs, each one spoke to me on a personal level. I think they’re really great country songs.”

With Nashville’s top musicians behind him, Williams delivers a sound that is both classic and contemporary. Country Therapy is available now through Good Company Entertainment with distribution by CmdShft.

Songs That Capture Life’s Highs and Lows

The album’s twelve tracks span a wide emotional range, from heartache to honky-tonk anthems. The title track, “Country Therapy,” celebrates life’s simple pleasures with fiddle and steel-driven energy. “Denver To Dallas” tells the story of a chance romantic encounter mid-flight, while “She Ain’t You” and “Diamonds Make Babies” explore relationships with humor and honesty.

Fans can expect plenty of Texas twang, two-steppers, shuffles, and heartfelt ballads. Dancehall-ready songs like “Heaven On A Hardwood Floor” and “Here For The Beer” keep the tradition alive, while reflective tracks like “Put the Shovel Down” bring a deeper emotional pull.

Williams previewed the project earlier this year with the release of “Denver To Dallas” in January, followed by “Heaven On A Hardwood Floor” on May 30, 2025.
