Pryor Baird

Pryor Baird’s journey from a guitar-toting toddler to a Grand Ole Opry performer is a testament to his unwavering passion for music. Born with a guitar in hand, Baird’s musical odyssey began at the tender age of three when he started strumming melodies on his beloved instrument. His childhood was filled with the echoes of bluesy riffs and country ballads, laying the foundation for his future as a soulful country-rock artist.

During his college years, Baird honed his musical prowess by performing with various bands in San Diego. However, it wasn’t until he formed his own band, Pryor Baird and the Deacons, that he truly found his musical calling. For nearly a decade, Baird and his bandmates entertained crowds night after night, honing their craft and building a loyal fanbase.

Despite his success on the local circuit, Baird yearned for more. With an unrelenting drive to pursue his dreams, he made the life-altering decision to relocate to Nashville, the epicenter of country music. Armed with little more than his guitars and a steadfast determination, Baird embarked on a journey into the heart of Music City.

In Nashville, Baird faced the challenges of starting anew in a city teeming with aspiring artists. He juggled odd jobs to make ends meet, all while tirelessly pursuing his musical ambitions. Baird’s soulful voice and electrifying stage presence captivated audiences and judges alike, propelling him to stardom as a top contender on Season 14 of The Voice. Though his journey on the show came to an end, Baird’s determination to succeed only grew stronger.

In 2020, Baird’s perseverance paid off when he signed a recording and publishing deal with Black River Entertainment. With a newfound sense of purpose, Baird poured his heart and soul into his music, culminating in the release of his latest single, “Mighta Met A Girl.”

Co-written by Baird alongside Chris Gelbuda and David Tolliver, “Mighta Met A Girl” is a poignant reflection on the serendipitous nature of love. Set against a backdrop of infectious melodies and heartfelt lyrics, the song captures the exhilaration and uncertainty of meeting someone new.
