Veterans Day

We wanted to take time to celebrate all of our veterans. Thank you so much for your service! We curated a few new patriotic songs, videos, and want to share some organizations helping veterans as well.

New Music and Videos

Colton James – “I Miss America”

Kate Watson – Remedy

Kate Watson’s video portrays the tragic story of losing a loved one who fought for our country. Kate has partnered with the Hope For Widows Foundation to support and empower those who have endured a similar situation. Describing the heartbreaking feeling of longing for that special someone that brings comfort in hard times, “Remedy” is for everyone who has felt the weight of losing something or someone you love.

“This is a song for everyone that encompasses love, loss, and everything in between.  Everyone has a remedy in life…something that brings them joy or it’s what they cling to for comfort in hard times.  It could be a person, object, or even an animal.  Now imagine losing that remedy. It’s a feeling that I know we all can relate to in some way.”

– Kate Watson

Bree Jaxon – “With You”

“My music is a healing process for me while I am deployed or have to say goodbye for now…” Jaxson states. “That’s the hardest part, is leaving them. So I wrote a song for them, telling them no matter what they’ll always have their mom.”

-Bree Jaxon

Alexis Wilkins “Stand”

Organizations Helping Veterans

If you have any time or donation money available this year, consider supporting one of these organizations that are helping veterans.

Memories of Honor

Memories of Honor is a national 501c3 nonprofit based in Nashville, Tennessee, whose mission is to honor, remember, and recognize the forgotten casualties of war, the surviving families, and teammates. They use athletics, entertainment, special events, and social campaigns to create living memorials so that no loss of life lost in or due to service is forgotten. Through the Enduring Heroes program, they bring together veterans and Gold Star families to HONOR, HEAL, and CONNECT. Visit memoriesofhonor.org to learn more or to become involved.

Guitars for Vets

Guitars for Vets

Guitars For Vets (G4V) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that supports U.S. military veterans struggling with the challenges of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) by providing them with free guitars and both one on one and group lessons. To date, Guitars for Vets and its nearly 800 volunteers have gifted more than 6,000 new guitars and 60,000 music lessons to those that have endured the wounds of war.
