Willie Nelson Leads Star-Studded Soundtrack for Prime Video’s The Gray House, Out February 26

The Gray House Soundtrack

MCA has announced the upcoming release of The Gray House [Original Soundtrack From The Amazon Series], set to arrive February 26 to coincide with the premiere of the limited series The Gray House on Prime Video. The first track from the project, Willie Nelson’s “Heart of America,” is available now, with the accompanying music video also released today.

The song reflects the emotional themes at the center of the series, exploring sacrifice, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of freedom. Executive producer Kevin Costner praised Nelson’s contribution, saying, “What a lucky day for us that Willie would take on performing a song for The Gray House. I’m not sure what Willie’s process is, but it’s clear that Willie was ready and willing to go deep when thinking about that terrible moment in American history where our country was divided and at war with itself, a moment in time that I believe we still have not fully recovered from. Willie’s talent, while always on display, found a new depth at least for me. God Bless our country and bless this man!”

A Diverse Collection of Artists Across American Genres

The full soundtrack will arrive February 26 and features a wide-ranging lineup of artists, including The War And Treaty, Lainey Wilson, Yolanda Adams, Shania Twain, Scott Stapp, Larkin Poe, Killer Mike, and Drake Milligan. Together, the contributors represent gospel, country, Americana, rock, and hip-hop, united through the project’s storytelling focus.

Executive producers Morgan Freeman and Lori McCreary highlighted the song’s broader significance, stating, “Some songs don’t belong to one project… they belong to a people. ‘The Heart of America’ that Willie sings for The Gray House, feels like a new kind of anthem, one meant for every American.” Nelson’s track serves as the thematic centerpiece of the soundtrack, anchoring the project with his iconic voice and legacy.
