Rising country artist Zach Top has released his latest song, “South of Sanity,” out now across streaming platforms. The track offers fans another glimpse into Top’s upcoming album, Ain’t In It For My Health, which is set for release on August 29 via Leo33.
The new music follows a breakout year for Top, who continues to gain momentum with fans and critics alike. Earlier this summer, he released the album’s lead single, “Good Times & Tan Lines,” which was quickly recognized as one of the top songs of 2025 by The Los Angeles Times, describing it as “as crisp as country music gets.” Billboard also praised the track, calling it “one of this summer’s top country anthems.”

A Rapidly Rising Star
Top’s upcoming record follows the success of his debut album Cold Beer & Country Music, which garnered over 3.5 million streams in its first week and earned a nomination for ACM Album of the Year. Produced by Carson Chamberlain (Billy Currington, Easton Corbin), the album drew praise from both fans and critics. The Tennessean described it as full of “star-making tunes,” while Country Central called it “a masterclass in traditional country music.”
Top recently earned his first #1 at country radio with “I Never Lie,” and performed the hit on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He was also honored as the 2025 ACM New Male Artist of the Year and nominated for New Artist of the Year at the upcoming 58th Annual CMA Awards. At the ACM Awards ceremony, he delivered what American Songwriter called “a moving acoustic rendition” of his song “Use Me.”
Adding to his growing list of accolades, Top released a collaborative EP, Me & Billy, with two-time GRAMMY winner Billy Strings.

From Washington Roots to Nashville Riser
Originally from Sunnyside, Washington, Zach Top grew up immersed in traditional country music on his family’s farm. He started performing with his siblings at just seven years old and spent his teenage years playing in bluegrass bands. Since moving to Nashville in 2021, he’s become known for his throwback sound, authentic lyrics, and standout vocals, qualities that continue to distinguish him as one of country music’s most promising new voices, even making the list as one of Country Evolution’s Artists to Watch in 2024.
