The Success of Rhinestoned
Released in August, Rhinestoned has been hailed as one of the best albums of 2024 by Rough Trade. Featuring standout tracks such as “Everyone But You,” “Suburban Outlaw,” and “Johnny Moonshine,” the album showcases Antone’s raw talent as a vocalist, songwriter, and producer. The title track and a solo version of “I Don’t Wanna Hear About It” also highlight her ability to connect deeply with listeners.
Antone co-produced Rhinestoned with Carrie K. (known for work with Noah Kahan and Suki Waterhouse). The album also features songwriting contributions from notable talents like Trent Dabbs, Aaron Raitiere, Jillian Jacqueline, and Natalie Hemby of The Highwomen.
A Bold Voice in Alternative Country
Born and raised in Richmond, VA, Maggie Antone has quickly established herself as a compelling new voice in country music. Her cover of Tyler Childers’ “Lady May” gained her instant recognition, followed by Interpretations, a collection of covers including Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” and John Prine’s “Spanish Pipe Dream.”
A songwriter since age 16, Antone left college in 2021 to pursue music full-time. She is dedicated to creating songs that resonate with audiences, inspired by artists like Natalie Hemby and John Prine who have shaped her journey.
