Zach Top Releases Sophomore Album ‘Ain’t In It For My Health’

Zach Top - Ain’t In It For My Health

Acclaimed singer, songwriter and musician Zach Top has released his sophomore album Ain’t In It For My Health today via Leo33. The record is available now on all major streaming platforms.

The album arrives at a time when Top’s star power is surging. Already drawing wide critical praise, The New York Times profiled him in a recent piece by Jon Caramanica, who observed, “Top’s commitment to form remains immaculate: a high-wire routine so aesthetically faithful and brimming with theatrical mirth that he’s almost winking, merging a sense of history and a sense of play.”

Momentum from a Breakout Year

This new project follows last year’s breakthrough debut album Cold Beer & Country Music and builds on the momentum of Top’s recent career milestones. He earned his first #1 at country radio with “I Never Lie” and was named the 2025 ACM New Male Artist of the Year. Billboard hailed him as “the future of country music,” while American Songwriter praised his ACM Awards performance of “Use Me” as “a moving acoustic rendition.”

Top also earned recognition on Variety’s 2025 Young Hollywood Impact Report, received a nomination for New Artist of the Year at the 58th Annual CMA Awards, and was named Discovery Artist of the Year at the 2024 MusicRow Awards. His recent EP Me & Billy, featuring two-time Grammy Award winner Billy Strings, added another highlight to his growing catalog.

Recognition from Country Evolution

Notably, Country Evolution named Zach Top as one of its 2024 Country Artists to Watch, underscoring his trajectory as a leading figure in traditional-leaning country. That prediction has proven accurate, with Top’s chart success, sold-out shows, and mounting critical acclaim positioning him as one of the genre’s most promising talents.

Chart Success and RIAA Certifications

Since its release last year, Cold Beer & Country Music has surpassed one billion streams and was nominated for ACM Album of the Year. The album is now RIAA Gold-certified, with several singles also achieving certification: “I Never Lie” (2x Platinum), “Sounds Like the Radio” (Gold), “Use Me” (Gold) and “Bad Luck” (Gold).

Produced by Carson Chamberlain (Billy Currington, Easton Corbin), the debut drew high praise. The Tennessean described it as full of “star-making tunes,” while Country Central called it “a masterclass in traditional country music,” affirming Top’s arrival as one of the standout voices of the new generation.

From Sunnyside to the Spotlight

Raised in Sunnyside, Washington, Zach Top grew up surrounded by classic country on the family farm. He began performing at age seven with a band formed alongside his siblings and continued developing his sound in various bluegrass groups through his teens and early twenties. In 2021, he relocated to Nashville, where his rise as a leading voice in country music quickly accelerated.
