Rising Nashville star and Country Evolution Artist to Watch Carter Faith, recently named Music Row’s 2025 Breakthrough Artist of the Year, released her latest track, “Arrows (Die For That Man),” today. Alongside the single, fans can watch the official visualizer and pre-save her upcoming debut album, Cherry Valley, set to release October 3 via Gatsby Records/MCA.
Faith revealed the inspiration behind the song, which stemmed from an unexpected encounter:
“I wrote ‘Arrows’ after meeting a man for five minutes and developing an unhealthy and delusional crush on him,” says Carter. “As the song goes, I truly felt like I would die for that man. I’ve said before that I’m a girl who’d die for love but would never let it kill me. That’s what this song is about.”

Building on Momentum
“Arrows (Die For That Man)” follows her recent single “Bar Star” and its acclaimed music video starring Academy Award-winner Billy Bob Thornton. Released just two weeks ago, the video received praise from outlets including Rolling Stone, Billboard, and Entertainment Tonight.
The track joins a growing collection of Carter’s fan-favorite releases such as “If I Had Never Lost My Mind…,” “Grudge,” and “Sex, Drugs and Country Music.” These singles have kept listeners engaged since her Aftermath EP last fall, which featured a duet with Alison Krauss and was praised by Billboard, The Tennessean, and American Songwriter.
The Story Behind Cherry Valley
Faith describes her debut album as a reflection of her Nashville journey, capturing both personal and professional milestones. Cherry Valley takes its name from a road sign she once saw, which came to symbolize her creative home.
The album blends her influences from Tammy Wynette and Nancy Sinatra to The Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds and The Beatles’ Revolver. It chronicles her transition from her North Carolina hometown to Nashville, weaving together themes of heartbreak, triumph, and hazy nights.
Produced by longtime collaborator Tofer Brown, the album was two years in the making before entering the studio in 2024. During that time, Carter established herself as a force in country music, signing with MCA and Universal Music Publishing Group, performing at the Grand Ole Opry more than a dozen times, and sharing the stage with Willie Nelson. Her music has already generated hundreds of millions of streams.
Touring Across the Globe
Faith’s touring schedule has been equally ambitious. After spending much of the year on the road with Little Big Town, she recently made her Stagecoach debut and toured with Ella Langley and Carly Pearce.
She also performed alongside Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild at the 18th Academy of Country Music Honors, singing “Lies Lies Lies,” a track written by ACM Songwriter of the Year Jessie Jo Dillon.
Looking ahead, Carter will join Noah Cyrus, Marcus King, and Kelsea Ballerini on tour, with dates across North America and Australia.
