New Music and a New Era With “Gone”
In October, Flatland Cavalry released their reflective new track “Gone,” accompanied by a lyric video. The song marks the Texas bred band’s first release since signing with the newly relaunched Lost Highway Records and signals the start of a bold new chapter. More new music from the group is expected soon.
Flatland Cavalry is made up of Cleto Cordero on vocals and acoustic guitar, Jason Albers on drums and percussion, Jonathan Saenz on bass, Reid Dillon on electric guitar, Wesley Hall on fiddle, and Adam Gallegos on piano, organ, keys, mandolin, and banjo.
Recent Career Milestones
Over the past two years, Flatland Cavalry has continued to build an impressive list of accomplishments. The band earned consecutive ACM Award nominations for Group of the Year in 2024 and 2025 and received their first RIAA Gold certification for their breakout single “A Life Where We Work Out.”
Their music has also found a home beyond the stage, with songs featured in major films including Twisters and The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Additional placements include Paramount’s Yellowstone, Landman in both season one and season two with “Gettin’ By (Far Out West Sessions),” and Netflix’s The Ranch.
About Flatland Cavalry
Since forming in Lubbock, Texas in 2014, Flatland Cavalry has earned praise from fans, fellow artists, and critics alike. Rolling Stone declared, “Flatland Cavalry Are at the Fore of the Red Dirt Renaissance…one of the most dynamic presences in country music,” while The Wall Street Journal described them as “a straightforward, upbeat electrified country rock band.” American Songwriter has also highlighted the group as “a dynamic representation of country music,” noting the influence of folk storytelling legends like Kris Kristofferson and John Prine.
To date, Flatland Cavalry has surpassed one billion streams in the US alone, notched seven number one singles at Texas Country Radio, and toured extensively with artists such as Willie Nelson, Luke Combs, Lainey Wilson, Jordan Davis, and Midland. Most recently, the band reached a major milestone by selling out their first headline arena show at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth on New Year’s Eve.
Based in both Texas and Nashville, Flatland Cavalry continues to expand their footprint while staying rooted in the storytelling and musicianship that define their sound.
