CMA Fest 2019 Highlights

One of the best things about CMA Fest is that there’s so much to see and do. During the day, there are myriad artists performing and a lot to experience. Prior to the festival, we wrote an article titled, “83 Artists You Need to See at CMA Fest,” and we were not disappointed.

The artists we saw from our list sounded just as great live as they did on their recordings and each one brought something special to the table.  We also caught up with a handful of artists and learned a bit more about them.

Lainey Wilson

Lainey Wilson comes from an incredibly small town in Louisiana and had a unique  living situation when she first arrived in Nashville. Her grit shows through with fiery songs like “Middle Finger” and “High on Something.”

Kassi Ashton

Kassi Ashton is a performer that brings a lot of energy to her show. She has a “can’t hold me down” spirit and a love for fashion, as well as showing different layers of herself through her music.

Gone West

Gone West is a group comprised of two couples who are each accomplished on their own, but add a unique element to the group. They shared a lot about their songwriting and their group dynamics.

Kyle Daniel

Kyle Daniel’s favorite part about performing shows is the energy transmission between the music and the fans and how it circulates from one to the other. Daniel is currently touring and writing more music.

Kaleb Lee

Kaleb Lee is a former contestant on The Voice who was originally selected to Blake Shelton’s team, but later stolen by Kelly Clarkson. Lee is currently working with Clarkson on his upcoming album.

Emily Ann Roberts

Emily Ann Roberts was runner up on The Voice when she was 16. Since then, she’s been writing a lot and just released a new single called “Someday Dream,” which is about living for today, rather than focusing on what you might have someday.

Hayley Orrantia

Hayley Orrantia stars as Erica on The Goldbergs and we were pleasantly surprised at how talented she is at both acting and singing. Her performance was terrific, and her EP is incredibly well-written. This summer, she’ll be playing some shows with Gone West.

Stephanie Quayle

Stephanie Quayle was selected as one of CMT’s Next Women of Country and has a lot of accomplishments under her belt as both a businesswoman and artist. Stephanie will soon release the music video for “If I was a Cowboy” and she also plans to have new music at the end of summer.
