“Famous Friends” Features Star Studded Collaborations
With nearly five billion career streams and eleven No. 1 singles under his belt, multi-platinum artist Chris Young is gearing up to release his highly anticipated 8th studio album, “Famous Friends.” The 14-song-project features collaborations with Lauren Alaina, Mitchell Tenpenny, and Kane Brown, plus background vocals from Sarah Buxton, Hillary Lindsey, and Shay Mooeny. “I know I’ve said it before, but I honestly can’t say it enough – I am so excited to be releasing my new album,” shared Young. “There are so many incredibly talented artists, songwriters and producers – all friends of mine – who helped make this album possible. Having friends share their talents as collaborators, songwriters, producers and more, it’s only natural to call the album ‘Famous Friends.’”
Led by the Billboard top 5 and rising title track with Kane Brown, the project has been generating some serious buzz. With the tracks “Raised on Country,” “Drowning,” and “Town Ain’t Big Enough” recently winning big at the 2021 CMT Country Music Awards, this album is sure to get Young accolades. To build anticipation for the release of “Famous Friends” Young’s newest single “Rescue Me” is now available on all streaming platforms.
“Rescue Me”
“I think ‘Rescue Me’ is such a cool twist on the typical love song concept,” said Young. “People were already falling in love with it just based off short social teases. It’s something special and I’m proud to have helped write it and produce it alongside Mark Holman.” Written in collaboration with Josh Hoge, Mark Holman, Matthew McGinn, and Christian Davis Stalnecker, “Rescue Me” is a prime example of how star-power combines and compliments on “Famous Friends.”
Although the album’s final track, “Tonight We’re Dancing” was produced solely by Young, the remaining 13 of the 14 songs feature several of his famous friends in addition to Corey Crowder, Chris DeStefano, and Mark Holman. “I want people to fall in love with it, blow their speakers listening to it, dance to it, party along with it, cry to it, just live it – and I can’t wait to start playing this new music on the road soon” said Young.
