Choosing “Better Than Your Memory”
It’s always interesting to me why a particular song resonated with an artist so much that they select it for their next project. According to Haddock, the choice to release “Better Than Your Memory” was a no-brainer, as it immediately caught his attention. “It’s pretty obvious pretty quick that it’s just straight up country music,” he began. “It’s got a real 90s, kinda Brooks and Dunn shuffle vibe to it. We just hadn’t really put anything out like that yet.”
The throwback style immediately draws you in and we just know that everyone will love it as much as we do. “We can’t wait for everybody to hear it,” Haddock said.

From College to Country Music
Hayden is currently a college student at Texas A&M and is set to graduate this year. A couple years ago, his roommate thought it would be funny for him to sing in front of an audience for the first time when Haddock’s girlfriend visited.
“At this point I had never played the guitar or sang in front of anybody in my entire life,” he shared. “I fought that for as long as I could and basically gave in.”
His roommate recorded the performance without him knowing and shared it on snapchat. “I couldn’t even imagine what that recording sounds like in today’s world,” he joked.
That moment sparked something in him and Haddock played his first show at a jazz club in Dallas about a month later. Playing during the band’s break, he admitted, was an unusual start for a country artist. After that, he went on to play more bars and venues. Since then, he’s met many people who believe in him and has been making waves in country music.
Upcoming Album
Along with playing lots of shows, Haddock plans on releasing an album this year. Fans can look forward to many styles of country songs on it, from two-stepping songs, to shuffle, to big guitars, and lots of fiddle and steel.
