Life in Georgia and Growing Up with Music
Georgia-native and rising country music artist Jordan Rowe has been wrapped up in music since he was nine years old. Beginning with the drums and church choir, Jordan went on to lead worship at his church once he got to high school. After graduation, Jordan attended The University of Georgia where he studied agribusiness and music business. But once he graduated college in 2019, Jordan realized that a music career was only fitting.
Jordan Rowe grew up listening to a lot of country music and states that his favorite artists to this day are still, “Alan Jackson, Eric Church, and Luke Bryan.” And nowadays as a professional country music artist, Jordan enjoys styling his own music after his influences.
The artist explains that “You can definitely hear some of my influences’ styles in my newer music.”
Of course Jordan’s latest single “More Me” resembles some of his favorite artists’ tones and melodies similar to that of Eric Church and Luke Bryan.
Jordan Rowe: “More Me”
“More Me”, released on April 23, is Jordan’s first song written by another artist under his new label River House. This is very out of the ordinary for an individual who writes 3-5 songs a week on average. However, Jordan’s latest single, written by Cole Taylor, carries a different weight.
He explains that the song is a reminder of “Who I was, and who I will always be.”
And this correlates exactly to the first two lines of his latest single. ‘More Me’ is also a preview of some of the new music the artist has planned for his fans on his upcoming tour with country music artist Cody Johnson.
‘The Cody Johnson Tour’ featuring Jordan Rowe
For Jordan Rowe, it has been over a year since he has gotten to perform live in front of people on stage. He states, “My band and I performed back in February 2020 for Chris Janson. It was a great time and I truly miss performing like this.”
Luckily for Jordan, he will kick off six dates throughout the Southeast U.S. on The Cody Johnson Tour this summer.
Jordan joked around saying that “You can expect a whole lot of country music on this tour.” But more seriously, the artist states that he is “…pumped up to be able to perform with one of his favorite artists [Cody Johnson] in the world right now.” Further he explains, “We will get to perform some of our new music for the first time in over a year. So yeah, I am stoked about it.”
Although Jordan claims to be nervous for the upcoming tour, the nerves will go away immediately after he steps on stage for one the biggest shows of his life. And once the tour is over, Jordan Rowe will not be going away anytime soon. The Georgia-native plans to release 2 four-pack EPs this summer. The first will drop in ‘early summer’, and the other in ‘late summer’.
