Country superstar Miranda Lambert released two new songs this week: “It All Comes Out in the Wash,” and “Locomotive.”
“It All Comes Out in the Wash”
“It All Comes Out in the Wash” is about pushing through challenging times, because they will eventually pass. The song begins with tangible items that get dirty and moves into situations where people may struggle.
In a press release, Lambert said, “When we were little, our moms would say ‘let’s not worry about a stain.’ Everyone goes through times in life that are difficult and has moments that they wish would pass,” said Lambert, who co-wrote the track alongside The Love Junkies (Hillary Lindsey, Lori McKenna, Liz Rose). “This song is a mix of scenarios that we have all either been a part of or have seen, and is a fun reminder that hard times do eventually pass.”
The song brings a powerful message; no matter how messy our problems are, they’ll all get worked out.
“Locomotive”
Lambert played the rock-infused “Locomotive” at CMA Fest in Nashville. Fans couldn’t get enough of the song and demanded that she release it. Lambert described it as “total country punk-rock” and wrote it with Ashley Monroe and K.S. Rhodes.
