More Artists Added to ‘Salute to Lee Greenwood’

Lee Greenwood’s Salute

Country music legend Lee Greenwood has been celebrated for generations. And on October 12th, 2021, America’s well-known patriot will be celebrated even further. From artists like Lee Brice and Dustin Lynch to bands like Home Free and The Oak Ridge Boys, this all-star salute to Greenwood plans to be a memorable event for all. And to make the event even better, more ‘A-listers’ have been added! Sara Evans, Paula Deen, Darryl Worley, and Rodney Atkins mark the individuals added to the celebration.

“I continue to be amazed as I learn who my music has impacted or affected. I am honored and thrilled that Sara Evans will be performing and I can’t wait for the audience to see what she has planned. She is a terrific talent along with Rodney and Darryl,” says Greenwood. “I recently awarded Paula Deen the Lee Greenwood Patriot award at a charity dinner in North Carolina and during the auction portion of the event, Paula’s husband was bidding on the auction package to come to this event. After the auction, I joked with Paula about it and invited her to come be part of this special night and she accepted the invitation. She and I will probably surprise some people with what we cook up for that night.”

Greenwood’s Accomplishments

What is not surprising though, is the amount of awards Lee Greenwood has won throughout his expansive career. Further, the artist earned multiple CMA and ACM Awards. He has also won a Grammy Award for Top Male Vocal Performance on “I.O.U,” in 1985. Lastly, Lee Greenwood is very well known for his stand-out patriotism and support of the U.S. military. Of course, his hit single “God Bless the U.S.A.” is a household favorite among country music fans across the nation.
