As a part of the Royal Albert Hall‘s recently launched livestream series, Royal Albert Home, the historic venue is hosting an event featuring top country artists on July 18.
In order to do so, the Royal Albert Hall is pairing with Nashville Meets London to create the livestream concert event. For the first time since World War Two, the Hall was forced to close on March 17. The production was created out of the Hall’s financial crisis that has developed from the pandemic.
The Royal Albert Hall will celebrate its’ 150th anniversary next year and has previously hosted many country artists such as Kacey Musgraves, Darius Rucker and more. Recently the Hall has developed many online concerts, stirring over £50,000 in donations.
The Hall’s partner, Nashville Meets London is a global music brand that aims to expand the cultural and economic aspects of music, specifically the Country and Americana genres. This globalization of music has led to greater alliance between the recording and live performance industries in the United States and the UK.
The free viewing event will feature artists such as The Cadillac Three, Michael Ray, Twinnie, and Tenille Townes on Saturday, July 18. The performances will begin at 1:30 p.m. CDT and can be viewed on the Royal Albert Hall Youtube channel.
