Karen Waldrup is giving fans a heartfelt reminder to keep believing through life’s uncertain moments with the premiere of her new music video for “Keeping The Faith.”
Known for her powerful voice, viral videos, and creative spirit, Waldrup’s latest video brings the message of her current single to life, focusing on perseverance, hope, and trusting the journey even when the road ahead is unclear. The video was premiered by American Country Network and digitally by Country Evolution.
For Waldrup, “Keeping The Faith” carries a deeply personal meaning. The song reflects her belief in trusting God’s plan while navigating major changes in life, including a difficult divorce, and holding onto the hope that brighter days are still ahead.
“Keeping the Faith is about always believing that good things will happen and then trusting that they will,” says Waldrup. “It’s about waking up every day with hope in your heart, even when you can’t yet see the outcome. Faith isn’t always easy, but sometimes it’s the only thing that keeps you moving forward and reminds you that better days are ahead.”
A Story of Faith and Perfect Timing
The song’s message became even more personal for Waldrup through an unexpected experience involving a dog she would eventually name Rica.
Before traveling to Puerto Rico to attend a wedding, Waldrup spent time in prayer, asking God that if there was a creature in need of love and care, He would send it her way.
While she was away, a dog unexpectedly appeared on her street and refused to leave. Neighbors cared for the pup, put up posters, and searched for an owner, but no one ever came forward.
Waldrup ultimately adopted the dog and lovingly named her Rica. For the singer, the experience became a powerful example of faith and perfect timing.
“Before I left for Puerto Rico, I prayed and asked God that if one of His children—human or not—needed a home and someone to love them, to send them my way,” says Waldrup. “While I was gone, this sweet little soul showed up at my house and never left. Rica has completely stolen my heart, and I truly believe she was sent to me for a reason.”
