Zach Top Drops Two New Songs, Announces Limited-Edition Vinyl and Adds New RIAA Certifications

Zach Top New Music

Zach Top is adding two new songs to his rapidly growing catalog. The GRAMMY Award-winning country singer, songwriter and musician has released “Good Girls & Cowgirls” and “Other Side Of Hurtin’,” giving fans a double dose of new music as he continues his extensive Cold Beer & Country Music Tour.

The two songs are available today via Leo33. A limited-edition 7-inch vinyl featuring both tracks will follow on September 25.

Top introduced both songs to fans on the road this summer, including a performance of “Good Girls & Cowgirls” during his headline set at Under The Big Sky Festival. The performance drew praise from Whiskey Riff, which wrote, “Simply put, there’s no one doing it quite as well as Zach Top these days,” while Entertainment Focus declared that he “continues what has been a phenomenal run for the Washington native.”

Earlier this month, Top also shared an acoustic version of “Good Girls & Cowgirls.”

Zach Top Continues a Landmark Year

The new songs arrive during a milestone year for Top, who won Best Traditional Country Album at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards for his sophomore album, Ain’t In It For My Health. The win made Top the inaugural recipient of the newly introduced category.

The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Current Country Albums chart and No. 11 on the Billboard 200. It also generated more than 30 million global streams during its first week.

Top’s sophomore project has received widespread critical attention, with The New York Times praising his “commitment to form” and describing the album as a combination of history and playfulness. Rolling Stone wrote that “Zach Top holds his own with the country greats,” while Variety called him “The fastest-rising star in country music.”

Other outlets have praised the album’s traditional country sound, songwriting and arrangements, including Pitchfork, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Billboard, The Tennessean, Nashville Lifestyles and Whiskey Riff.

Cold Beer & Country Music Reaches New RIAA Milestones

Top’s latest releases build on the success of his breakthrough debut album, Cold Beer & Country Music, which has surpassed one billion streams to date.

The album earned an ACM Album of the Year nomination and is certified RIAA Platinum. It has also produced several additional RIAA-certified songs, including “I Never Lie,” which is now 3x Platinum, as well as Gold certifications for “Sounds Like the Radio,” “Use Me” and “Bad Luck.”

“I Never Lie” also gave Top his first No. 1 single at country radio.

The success of Cold Beer & Country Music helped establish Top as one of country music’s most promising new voices. He earned New Artist of the Year at the 59th Annual CMA Awards and was named 2025 ACM New Male Artist of the Year. He was also included in Variety’s 2025 Young Hollywood Impact Report and was named “the future of country music” by Billboard.

Top has continued expanding his reach with appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Bertcast, The Zach Sang Show and a profile by Jon Caramanica in The New York Times. He also released Me & Billy, a three-song EP featuring 2x GRAMMY Award-winning artist Billy Strings.

From Washington State to Nashville

Top grew up in Sunnyside, Washington, surrounded by classic country music on his family’s farm. He formed a band with his siblings at just seven years old, beginning a musical path that eventually led him through various bluegrass bands during his teenage years and early twenties.

He moved to Nashville in 2021 and quickly began building a reputation as one of the genre’s most promising young traditional country artists.

His debut album, Cold Beer & Country Music, helped propel that rise, while Ain’t In It For My Health has further established Top as an artist committed to classic country sounds with a modern reach.

Now, with “Good Girls & Cowgirls” and “Other Side Of Hurtin’” officially out, Top is continuing that momentum with two new songs that give fans another taste of where his music is headed.
